Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Team Leader to lead and coach a crew on site in Columbia, SC. The role focuses on improving safety, quality, and efficiency across manufacturing operations, with involvement in Lean initiatives and team scheduling.

The candidate will supervise other team leaders, manage overtime, and drive coaching and development. A strong emphasis on problem-solving and collaboration across departments is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead others and influence behavior.
• Experience as Team Leader or similar supervisory role.
• Knowledge of Lean Principles and philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Lead MDI board meetings and Lean-related activities.
• Assign work schedules and coordinate overtime.
• Ensure safety of employees and adherence to EHS requirements.
• Monitor the quality of products and work.
• Troubleshoot simple machines, processes, or employee issues.
• Lead and train team leaders, provide feedback and coaching.
• Frequently communicates with team members, supervisors, and across departments, and with plant leaders.
• Coach other team leaders.
