Job summary

Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare in Chicago seeks a Team Leader for Crisis Diversion and Community Engagement to provide shift-level leadership for Living Room and CORS programs. You will supervise Peer Crisis Support Specialists, coordinate daily operations, and foster a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed environment.

The role balances direct guest support with operational oversight, staff development, and collaboration with community partners to ensure timely, compassionate services and adherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in related field.
• CRSS certification preferred or ability to obtain within organizational expectations.
• Minimum of three years in behavioral health, crisis services, peer support, or related field.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or shift lead experience preferred.
• Knowledge of recovery-oriented systems of care and trauma-informed practices.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
• Ability to support individuals in mental health or behavioral crises.
• Experience with multidisciplinary teams and community partners.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation systems.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, coaching, and support to Peer Crisis Support Specialists during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate daily operations of Living Room and CORS programs to ensure safe, effective services.
• Monitor staffing, guest flow, service delivery, and environmental safety; make real-time decisions.
• Serve as primary contact for operational concerns, guest issues, and staff questions during shifts.
• Model trauma-informed, person-centered, and recovery-focused practices in all interactions.
• Support crisis intervention, de-escalation, wellness and safety planning with guests.
• Ensure welcoming, inclusive environment that promotes hope and self-determination.
• Provide mentoring and feedback to staff; facilitate recovery groups and community activities.
• Collaborate with internal programs and community partners for continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and compliance with policies and regulations.
