Overall Job Summary: The Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with the execution of operational, sales, and merchandising objectives by delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. The Team Leader also promotes a safe and productive work environment for all Team Members, customers, and vendors, and trains Team Members on policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Uphold a safe and productive environment by following policies and procedures.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, Uncover Needs, Recommend Products, Add Value & Appreciate.
• Perform duties such as merchandising, opening/closing, deposits, assessing store conditions, organizing workflow, merchandise recovery, price changes, resolving customer issues, adhering to loss prevention, communicating with team, operating cash registers, assisting with policies, caring for poultry, operating equipment like forklifts and balers, completing documentation, and obtaining necessary licenses or certifications.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in retail, farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding preferred; supervisory experience is a plus. Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, write, and count accurately is essential.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Basic computer skills, strong interpersonal skills, ethical issue resolution, and ability to perform all team responsibilities.

Working Conditions

• Indoor environment with moderate noise, shifts generally no less than 4 hours, may exceed 8 hours, and outdoor work in adverse weather.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move and transfer merchandise up to 50 pounds, push/pull heavy loads, lift overhead, stand, kneel, reach, climb ladders, operate store equipment, and communicate effectively.
