Job summary

The Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services (CASES) seeks a Team Leader, IMT to supervise the Choices ATD program serving youth in Bronx and Manhattan Family Courts. You will coach staff, develop partnerships, ensure data quality, and manage day-to-day operations with a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach.

You will work with youth and families to set goals around education, health, and wellness, while maintaining fiscal responsibility and coordinating with the Director on

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience working with court-involved youth.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Collaborative approach with communities, youth, and families.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to be creative and flexible.
  • Commitment to active youth engagement.
  • Training in or willingness to train in CBT, harm reduction, trauma-informed approaches.
  • Experience building relationships with schools and community organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Attract, develop, coach, and retain team members, empowering them to elevate their competence, impact, and performance.
  • Promote staff development and competence through coaching and structured supervision.
  • Facilitate cohesive team functioning that enables staff to perform and deliver services at the highest level.
  • Develop strong working relationships with community partners.
  • Facilitate weekly team meetings and individual supervision.
  • Ensure timely and quality data completion to promote real‑time data reporting and performance measurement.
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility for program funds, including petty cash and carfare.
  • Act as an escalation contact for staff in addressing complex and risk‑management situations, informed by crisis intervention and resolution knowledge to respond to potential violence – including field visits for complex cases.
  • Meet with Director weekly for supervision.
  • Work flexible hours when required; programming/activities may run until 7 pm on some days.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director.

Job Summary

CASES seeks a supervisor to manage the Choices Alternative to Detention (ATD) Program serving youth awaiting disposition in Bronx and Manhattan Family Courts. The goal is to provide advocacy, resources, trusting relationships, educational support, and engaging activities. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on supervisor who seeks an opportunity to train, support, and uplift a team. Choices ATD aims to help young people with a case in Family Court gain competence, confidence, positive connections with peers and adults, build character and self‑esteem, contribute to their communities, and reduce their involvement in the criminal legal system. Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Coach works with young people and their families to develop goals around education, health and wellness, youth development, and reduction in recidivism, ensuring that participants and families receive strengths‑based, culturally relevant services that support their self‑identified goals and adhere to the core principles of risk, need, and responsivity.

What we are looking for

Salary

$78,000.00

Shift Hours

Full‑time Monday through Friday, 9 am–5 pm; 35 hours per week excluding breaks, with flexible hours as required

Location

424 East 147th Street, Bronx, NY 10455 (as needed to court, CASES offices, community visits, partnership meetings)

Workplace Flexibility

Flexible; up to one remote workday per week
