Job summary

Heart of England Co‑operative Society in Meriden is seeking a Team Leader to run shifts, coach staff and drive customer service in a busy food convenience store (24 hours per week, permanent). A second Team Leader role exists on a 5-month fixed-term contract for 16 hours per week.

You’ll take ownership in the absence of the Store Manager, lead from the front, support recruitment and onboarding, and help push the store to be the go-to local shop.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or a fast-paced customer environment.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience (or ready to step up).
• Commercial awareness and confidence working towards targets.
• A natural motivator who can get the best out of people.
• Organised, resilient and comfortable taking ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop your team to deliver strong performance.

Team Leader – Step Into Store Leadership

We’re looking for aTeam Leaderto join ourMeridenFood Convenience Store(24 hours per week) on a permanent contract.

We also have a Team Leader role available on a 5 month fixed-term contract for 16 hours per week

This is your opportunity to move beyond a standard retail role and take real ownership—leading a team, driving performance, and building the skills to progress into Store Management.

What You’ll Be Doing
