Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering is seeking a Team Lead for the Renewable Substations group in the Denver area. The role oversees engineers, drafters, and technicians to deliver electrical power system designs with precision and on schedule.

Responsibilities include developing SBPs, mentoring staff, and supporting client relations and business development. Local Lakewood or full-time remote options are available with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• FE license is required; PE is preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years in electrical engineering or field experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed design of electrical power systems including diagrams, SCADA, grounding, and equipment selection.
• Develops protective relay settings and tests relaying and control systems.
• Reviews submittals, documents, and testing reports for quality and compliance.
• Mentors and develops team members; assigns and coordinates work.
• Supports business development, proposals, and budget/scope management.
• Provides field assistance, troubleshooting, and client communication as needed.
