Position Overview

The Team Lead is responsible for running daily operational practices of the car wash facility and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Organize shift schedules for team members
• Monitor attendance, tardiness and time off
• Assign duties to employees based on role and skills
• Supervise employees and assist with tasks as necessary
• Manage employees’ requests and transgressions
• Train new and current team members on tasks
• Handle customer issues and manage conflicts
• Adhere to company policies, health, safety and employment standards
• Balance cash drawers and prepare cash deposits
• Greet customers courteously and explain available wash services
• Take and process wash payments for customer satisfaction
• Clean facility and ensure all equipment is stored properly (water hoses, nozzles, brushes, soap buckets, broom, hand tools, pressure washer, grease gun)
• Provide assistance to customers regarding car wash process
• Move or direct cars into express wash tunnel with a focused and competent attitude
• Ensure customers follow safe driving guidelines while in the tunnel
• Smiles at customer and give thumbs up after they are in neutral with no brakes
• Carry out visual inspection of vehicles before sending them into the wash area
• Ensure company policies and safety procedures are followed daily
• Maintain vacuums, empty trash cans, and hang hoses properly
• Act with a sense of urgency, ensuring the right thing is done at the right time with customers, home office, and teammates
