Job summary

ProAmpac is hiring for a lead role in Hanover Park, IL. The position leads a converting operations team in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment, driving production efficiency while upholding quality and process standards.

The role requires coaching, troubleshooting, training, and collaboration across departments to ensure on-time production and adherence to safety policies. Competitive benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of converting operators to meet production goals.
• Monitor processes to address issues, minimize downtime, and maximize efficiency; seek improvements and propose solutions.
• Enforce quality control measures to meet specifications and customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions with maintenance teams.
• Train and mentor employees.
• Uphold safety, quality, production and documentation procedures per ProAmpac policies.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE as required.
• Communicate production status and performance trends to management.
• Assist in department cost analyses and corrective actions; relay actions to teams.
• Collaborate with scheduling, maintenance, supervisors and operators to prioritize orders.
• All other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $29.00- $35.00/hour (pending experience)

• Lead and coach a team of converting operators to meet production goals, cooordinating or assisting with activities of team members as necessary.


• Monitors processes to address issues, minimize downtime, and maximize efficiency, seeks out opportunities to improve established manufacturing practices, and anticipates, and anticipates inefficiencies, bringing constructive solutions.


• Enforces quality control measures to meet specifications and customer requirements.


• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions, collaborating with maintenance teams and any other applicable departments.


• Trains and provides mentorship to employees.


• Support an environment that aligns with ProAmpac's core values, while ensuring the team is following protocols pertaining to safety, quality, production, documentation, reporting, and any other applicable manufacturing process or procedures.


• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, to prevent accidents or injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment(PPE) as required by safety policies and reports any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member.


• Communicates production status and performance trends to management.


• Support activities including analysis of department costs, investigation of significant variances, corrective actions, and communication too teams of actions taken.


• Effectively works with other departments or team members, such as production scheduling, maintenance team members, supervisors, and machine operators to ensure timely production and prioritization of orders.


• All other duties as assigned.
