Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Franklin Park, IL to perform machine maintenance, electrical work, and to read schematics. This role requires 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance and the ability to work overtime as needed.

Work environment is climate-controlled in a manufacturing setting with safety PPE; the position offers benefits including health coverage and a 401(k). Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience of manufacturing machine maintenance.
• Experience with electrical.
• Associates Degree Preferred or Trade School Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Machine maintenance processes including: electronic, electrical, and mechanical installations, as well as repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Maintaining plant safety, housekeeping standards, and quality checks within a manufacturing environment.
• Disassembling and reassembling of machinery.
• Read and interpret schematics and process control diagrams.
• Troubleshooting and calibrating level, pressure, temperature, and flow measuring instruments.
• Working with electronic controls and circuits, hard wiring relay logic systems and process instrumentation.
• Reading blueprints and equipment manuals.
• Communicating with contractors, vendors, and customers.
• Collaborating with internal and external teams to facilitate smooth operation and project implementation.
• Delegating tasks and leading team members in day-to-day duties.

Salary Range: $34.00-38.00/hour (pending experience) Hours: Monday - Friday / 6am - 2pm, on call as needed MUST be willing to do Overtime

Qualifications, Education And Experience

• 3+ years’ experience of manufacturing machine maintenance
• Experience with electrical.
• Associates Degree Preferred or Trade School Certificate
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing and team-oriented environment
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Reporting to work on time and dependability is imperative
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, and Outlook email and calendar capabilities.

• Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.

Work Environment

Work primarily in a climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Safety shoes and vision protection required, hearing protection required in some areas. This role operates primarily in a manufacturing environment. Employee may be exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels.
