Job summary

BIC World in Charlotte, US seeks a Team Lead for the 2nd shift to supervise the production line and ensure smooth operation of the team. You will guide priorities, stage orders, and coordinate with floor runners and maintenance to keep lines running efficiently.

The role requires leadership, clear communication, attention to detail, and a strong safety mindset, with shifts from around 2:15 PM to 10:15 PM.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma / GED required.
• Available to work OT, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
• Ability to lead a team of production team members.
• Good communication skills – verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of general safety policies and processes.
• Previous experience in production/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive direction from Department Lead on priorities of work.
• Stage orders so they are ready when the team arrives to review orders.
• Ensure all product needed to run the order is at the line.
• Call floor runners for setup of red cans for lighter tray disposal.
• Maintain the speed of the machine.
• Confirm that RDID and blisters are running before team arrives at line.
• Assist with building displays with team.
• Review partial orders, put-away product, and scrap at end of shift and ensure proper allocation or disposal.
• Communicate with Shift Assistant when machines are ready for plug/tool changes and lines are set for production.
• Assist with place cards and work with maintenance during plug/tool changes.
• As needed, assist the team wherever required.
• This position is for 2nd shift (starting around 2:15 pm and finishing around 10:15 pm).
