Job summary

BIC World in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Warehouse Operator II to manage inbound and outbound shipments, operate RF scanners and forklifts, and support daily distribution center activities.

You will download inbound shipments, receive goods, prepare pallets, label and wrap pallets, and coordinate with the team to keep the operation safe, accurate, and on schedule.

This role requires physical stamina, good communication, and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have good communications skills – both verbal and written.
• Experience operating a high-reach, stand-up forklift.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must display a strong work ethic and sense of urgency.

• Must be knowledgeable and abide by all company safety policies.
• Previous work experience in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that product is shipped out of the distribution center in a timely and effective manner.
• Stack pallets appropriately (straight, heavy at bottom, labels out).
• Lift product and place on pallets.
• Use material handling equipment, once trained, to safely remove product from lanes to ship prep station, staging area, or onto outbound truck.
• Process, wrap, and label pallets at ship prep station.
• Move items to correct location if product is sent down wrong chute or unreadable by scanner.
• Understand process if UPS labeling area (load loose items, continuous flow, special orders, and single cartons).

Summary

The Warehouse Operator II is responsible for operating all types of equipment – including, but not limited to, RF Scanners and Forklifts– for the purpose of performing various duties such as downloading inbound shipments, receiving shipments, downloading receiving related paperwork, communicating with corporate regarding schedule planning and inbound receiving issues, pallet pulling,and put away.

Responsibilities:
