Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Team Lead 1 - Indirect to manage material handling operations at our Grenada, MS facility. You will train teammates, monitor forklift activity, and ensure materials flow efficiently to the point of use while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and hands-on material handling experience. Familiarity with JDE Material Handler and forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in material handling and leading teams is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints and follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform work within takt/cycle time.
• Train and mentor new material handlers on the team.
• Monitor and recertify forklift drivers as needed.
• Provide and process movement of material to point of use.
• Keep work area clean and organized around the assembly line.
• Inform proper personnel of material shortages.
• Operate forklift and adhere to safety requirements.
• Practice 5S in the workplace.

You’ll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

• Perform work within takt/cycle time

• Perform work per work instructions

• Train and mentor new material handlers on the team

• Monitor/test new forklift drivers and recertifications

• Provide and process movement of material to point of use

• Keep work area clean by disposing empty boxes and cardboard, as well as keeping material around the assembly line in order and neat

• Inform proper personnel of material shortage

• Check in and place materials from other cells

• Operate forklift

• Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area

• Practice 5Ss

What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
