Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Team Lead - Materials to manage the flow of materials and equipment on the shop floor. You will supervise the materials team, ensure correct delivery, and train new hires, including forklift license testing for team members.

The role emphasizes safety, organized work areas, and adherence to 5S principles. A high school diploma and forklift certification are preferred, with prior material handling experience.

You’ll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

The Team Lead -Materials is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and equipment and ensures correct delivery and shipment of materials. This position will coordinate the work of other materials employees and train all new material handler new hires. Act as the forklift driving tester for those employees seeking a forklift driving license.

• Perform work within takt/cycle time
• Perform work per work instructions
• Train and mentor new material handlers on the team
• Monitor/test new forklift drivers and recertifications
• Provide and process movement of material to point of use
• Keep work area clean by disposing empty boxes and cardboard, as well as keeping material around the assembly line in order and neat
• Inform proper personnel of material shortage
• Check in and place materials from other cells
• Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
• Practice 5Ss

What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
