• Oversee birthday parties: setup, timing, and room turnover to keep on schedule.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and high service standards across lobby, desk, and play areas.
• Coordinate with kitchen and staff to ensure timely food and photo opportunities.

About Dinotopia

Dinotopia is an indoor dinosaur play park for kids ages 1 to 10 in Madison, TN, just outside Nashville, open 7 days a week from 10AM to 7PM. Families come here to play, celebrate birthdays, and grab a bite at our cafe.

About the Role

As our Team Lead, you are the heartbeat of front‑of‑house operations and one of the primary owners of guest satisfaction. You won't just work the floor. You'll lead by example, run smooth operations from open to close, and make every family's visit unforgettable. Whether you're welcoming a first‑time toddler family, running a flawless birthday schedule, or resolving a parent's concern before it becomes a problem, you own the outcome.

What You'll Do

Leadership and Guest Experience

• Champion guest happiness before, during, and after every visit and party
• Open and close the facility, secure the building, count registers, and complete daily checklists
• Keep the building 100% guest‑ready at all times
• Lead the floor during peak rushes, keep the team's energy high, and jump in wherever help is needed: front desk, party rooms, or cafe
• Check in with parents and party hosts and handle feedback or unexpected issues with composure

Front Desk

• Welcome guests, manage check‑ins, confirm waivers, and issue wristbands
• Process admissions, memberships, party bookings, and retail sales on our point‑of‑sale system
• Answer calls and questions about packages, pricing, and availability
• Guide families to add‑ons and upgrades that genuinely improve their visit

Birthday Parties

• Review upcoming bookings and make confirmation calls with party hosts
• Confirm pre‑ordered add‑ons, food, and special requests
• Oversee party room setup, decorations, table settings, and food timing
• Run parties on schedule from play time to cake, candles, and gifts
• Coordinate with the kitchen so party food arrives hot, fresh, and on time
• Make the birthday child feel like the center of the universe and help parents capture great photos
• Make sure room resets between parties are fast, thorough, and flawless

Safety, Cleanliness, and Quality

• Monitor play areas and enforce facility rules like the sock policy and age and height guidelines
• Lead lost child and lost item procedures
• Hold the team to high cleaning standards across the lobby, front desk, retail area, party rooms, and restrooms
• Make sure high‑touch sanitization, restroom checks, and trash removal happen on schedule
• Report equipment, facility, or inventory needs to management right away

• Completely comfortable around kids and calm under pressure on busy weekends
• A strong communicator who can engage parents, resolve issues gracefully, and guide teammates
• Comfortable with tablet‑based POS software and scheduling platforms
• Leadership experience in hospitality, food service, retail, or entertainment is a plus
• Weekend availability required

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for a full shift
• Lift up to 25 to 30 pounds and move tables and chairs for party setups
