Job summary

La Petite Academy is seeking a Team Lead to mentor and guide classroom staff while ensuring high-quality care for preschool children. You will support management duties, train new hires, and help create engaging learning experiences daily.

The role emphasizes following licensing guidelines and stepping in for director duties when needed, with opportunities for professional growth within a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
• Able to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage with children.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and assist with management, training, and mentoring of new hires and fellow teachers to create engaging learning experiences.
• Lead duties in the Director/Assistant Director absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Ensure daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and company standards.

As a Team Lead, you are a:

• Mentor! Be responsible for, or assisting with, the management, training, and mentoring of new hires and your fellow Teachers, as you create fun, interactive learning experiences to share with the preschool children.
• Leader! Take on the duties of Director or Assistant Director in his/her absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Expert! Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.

We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA, preferred.
• The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
