Job summary

Learning Care is seeking a Team Lead to nurture and guide preschool children, while partnering with families to promote growth and success. This role emphasizes classroom leadership, program delivery, and staff mentoring in a supportive center environment.

The Team Lead will uphold licensing guidelines, lead curriculum implementation, and step in for Director duties when needed. The position offers a strong growth path and access to ongoing training and credential assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development or a CDA, preferred.
• Ability to meet state/accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation as a Team Lead.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to support child achievement.
• Mentor and train new hires and fellow teachers to create engaging learning experiences.
• Perform duties of Director or Assistant Director in absence, including opening/closing the center.
• Ensure daily care of each child compliant with licensing guidelines and company standards.

As a Team Lead, you are a:

• Teacher! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care. Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation. Classroom instruction is at least 50% of weekly schedule.
• Communicator! Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
• Mentor! Be responsible for, or assisting with, the management, training, and mentoring of new hires and your fellow Teachers, as you create fun, interactive learning experiences to share with the preschool children.
• Leader! Take on the duties of Director or Assistant Director in his/her absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Expert! Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.

We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
