Job summary

La Petite Academy in Orlando is seeking a Team Lead to guide a preschool classroom, manage daily curriculum, and support families. This role prioritizes safety, development, and a positive, engaging learning environment.

You will mentor new teachers, collaborate with families, and step into Director or Assistant Director duties in absence, while contributing to a fun, collaborative team with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility and leading a classroom.
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA (preferred).
• Ability to meet state/accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Promote child growth and lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Communicate with families to promote achievement and center success.
• Mentor new teachers and fellow teachers through training and learning experiences.
• Take on Director/Assistant Director duties in the absence, including opening/closing.
• Ensure daily care following licensing guidelines and company standards.

As a Team Lead, you are a:

• Teacher! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care. Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation. Classroom instruction is at least 50% of weekly schedule.
• Communicator! Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
• Mentor! Be responsible for, or assisting with, the management, training, and mentoring of new hires and your fellow Teachers, as you create fun, interactive learning experiences to share with the preschool children.
• Leader! Take on the duties of Director or Assistant Director in his/her absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Expert! Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.

We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
