FurstStaffing is seeking a Team Lead to drive daily manufacturing operations in Loves Park, IL. You will ensure safety, quality, and cost targets, coach staff, and lead data-driven improvements throughout the plant.
You will work with SAP, Power BI, SharePoint, and Smartsheet to support operations, lead cross-functional teams, and present findings to senior leaders using DMAIC problem-solving methods.

Hold team members accountable for meeting standards and commitments, following escalation procedures when needed.
Assess training needs, plan and execute training initiatives.
Establish and disseminate work standards, ensuring teams adhere to them.
Engage cross-functional teams and floor operators, coaching others to do the same.
Prepare and deliver written and oral presentations with visual aids to diverse audiences, escalating to senior leaders as appropriate.
Analyze data and train others in DMAIC problem-solving methods.
Lead data-driven decision-making processes, involving relevant stakeholders at appropriate levels.
Identify and utilize company resources, evaluate effectiveness, and update information as needed.
Resolve team conflicts, addressing non-technical issues and involving HR when necessary.
Utilize Microsoft Office, SharePoint, SAP, Paycor, Smartsheet, Power BI to support operations.
Apply HR knowledge to deliver constructive feedback, adapt leadership style, and provide employee evaluation insights.
Two years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably a food environment.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Read and interpret safety, operating, and maintenance documents; write routine reports and correspondence.
Perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Work overtime hours to meet customer demands.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-analysis skills.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, uniform, hairnet, beard net, and mask as required.
Operate in dusty conditions, using breathing protection devices when necessary.
Stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
Talk, hear, and smell effectively.
Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull 350-pound carts with wheels.
Maintain close, distance, and peripheral vision as required.
Be flexible in learning and working in other job functions to ensure competency.
Prior leadership experience.
High school diploma or GED.
