Job Summary:
As part of the Power Restoration Team, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing support and guidance to Agents and Team Lead, ensuring resources for planned and unplanned power disruptions are delivered to stores nationwide through a white glove service.
This position reports to the Operations Manager and will work collaboratively with the Training & Development Supervisor and PPO Supervisor - including project supervisor(s), Walmart- Power Restoration Managers.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Day to Day Management
- Manage team flow during unplanned power outage events, including outage schedule development/coordination, vendor management and communication, store/club/stakeholder management of notification-pre/post outage, resource mobilization planning, and event close out.
- Support PPO Supervisor, in completing any tasks requested, such as rescheduling or analyzing data.
- Lead the team in efficiently communicating and coordinating resources, changes, vendor communication, and correction of errors to PRM(s).
- Provide daily technical and disaster specific training to agents.
- Identify and collaborate with Team Lead on improvements to training and existing processes for Agents within the ERT program.
- Support the Team Lead in the execution of Quality Audits per Shift.
- Highlight and communicate priorities, tasks, and roadblocks/dependencies to the team daily.
- Work with PRMs, Utility companies, and key stakeholders to drive improvement of our support.
- Monitor and update Shifts for schedule changes, requested PTO, and accuracy.
Team Interaction
- Explain and clarify policies and procedures within SOP(s), ensuring familiarity and compliance.
- Demonstrate empathy and an ability to find the right solution on a case-by-case basis.
- Ensure adherence to the policies and rules outlined in the IG/Walmart Program Handbook. Request Intervention appropriately when rules are violated.
- Maintain flexibility, acknowledging the nature of Power Restoration and the need for frequent change and improvement.
Training and Development
- Identify areas of improvement needed for overall team success. Communicate the identified needs to the Training and Development Supervisor and Operations Manager.
- Foster a positive learning environment for agents and show appropriate appreciation for their contributions.
- Support new hire training, ensuring their needs are met and that they have a positive on-boarding experience in collaboration with Operations Manager.
- Support Team Lead in ensuring proper coverage for the facilitation of weekly team trainings during shift, handoff, and scheduled training sessions.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and a willingness to learn additional programs.
