Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) invites you to join the PICL Program as a Team Lead in the Montgomery County area of Pennsylvania. You will supervise direct care staff, coordinate schedules, and maintain a direct service caseload while supporting individuals and families.

This full-time role requires CPRP certification and a valid driver's license, with opportunities for professional development and leadership growth within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

  • CPRP Certification is required.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field OR Associate Degree with 3 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line supervision, coaching, and support to direct care staff.
  • Organize, schedule, and distribute work assignments.
  • Maintain a direct service caseload and provide direct support as needed.
  • Coordinate medical appointments and attend when necessary.
  • Communicate with medical providers about health needs.
  • Maintain relationships with families, staff, and leadership.
  • Participate in person-centered planning meetings and implement support plans.
  • Coordinate training plans and documentation.
  • Monitor progress notes and monthly reviews.
  • Communicate with service coordinators and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Prepare and submit program reports and paperwork.
  • Support compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

As a Team Lead, you will:

  • Provide first-line supervision, coaching, mentoring, and support to direct care staff.
  • Organize, schedule, and distribute work assignments among team members.
  • Maintain a direct service caseload and provide direct support services as needed.
  • Coordinate and oversee medical appointments, including attending appointments when necessary.
  • Communicate with medical providers regarding the health and wellness needs of individuals served.
  • Maintain positive relationships with family members, guardians, staff, and program leadership.
  • Participate in person-centered planning meetings and ensure implementation of support plans.
  • Coordinate training plans and ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Monitor progress notes, daily documentation, and monthly reviews.
  • Communicate regularly with service coordinators and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Prepare and submit reports and required program documentation.
  • Help ensure compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives.

QualificationsRequired
  • Current Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) Certification
  • Valid Driver's License

In addition, one of the following:

Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field such as sociology, special education, rehabilitation, nursing, counseling, psychology, or a related field

OR

Associate Degree and three (3) years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities

OR

High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities

Preferred
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Experience working within behavioral health, psychiatric rehabilitation, or community support programs
Schedule
  • Full-Time
  • Flexible schedule based on program needs
  • Evening and weekend availability may occasionally be required
  • Local travel may be required to support individuals and attend appointments
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, and climb stairs as needed
  • Ability to push, pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, and perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
