Job summary

University of New England is seeking an Associate Program Coordinator for the Teaching Kitchen on the Biddeford Campus. The role supports academic activities, including SeaMade bar production, by maintaining the Teaching Kitchen space, inventory, and events.

Responsibilities include coordinating cleanings, assisting faculty and students, managing production teams, and ensuring safety in the teaching kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, hospitality, food systems, natural resources, or environmental science.
• 1–3 years related experience or equivalent education/experience mix.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of kitchen safety procedures and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean Teaching Kitchen space and equipment; schedule and coordinate annual cleanings.
• Manage inventory of supplies and pantry items.
• Assist faculty and students with academic events in the Teaching Kitchen.
• Support production of SeaMade nutrition bars and supervise student production teams.
• Coordinate Teaching Kitchen communications and email systems.
• Supervise work study for cleanliness and inventory.
