Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
• Active Connecticut medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Clinical experience caring for acutely ill adult patients with a broad range of medical conditions.
• Demonstrated commitment to medical education, resident teaching, and mentorship.
• Proven leadership abilities and ability to collaborate with residents, faculty, and teams.

Responsibilities

• Teach and supervise Internal Medicine residents in inpatient settings (75%).
• Guide residents in clinical decision-making, diagnostic reasoning, and management of complex cases.
• Facilitate bedside teaching, case discussions, and educational activities.
• Provide feedback and mentorship to support residents’ development.
• Participate in resident assessments and program evaluations.
• Contribute to curriculum development and scholarly activities.
• Collaborate with Program Director and faculty to support educational priorities.
• Support resident recruitment, scheduling, and program operations.
