Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
• Active Connecticut medical license or eligibility.
• Demonstrated commitment to medical education and mentorship.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership abilities to collaborate with residents, faculty and teams.
• Interest in scholarly activity including research and quality improvement.
• Experience in graduate medical education or residency leadership.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and supervision of Internal Medicine residents in inpatient settings.
• Guide residents in clinical reasoning and evidence-based medicine.
• Facilitate bedside teaching, case discussions, and assessments.
• Provide feedback and mentorship on clinical competence and progress.
• Participate in resident evaluations and curriculum development.
• Promote scholarly activity and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support resident recruitment, interviews, and committee work.
• Collaborate with Program Director to ensure educational priorities.
