Job summary

The Community Group invites aspiring educators to join its Teaching Fellows’ Program (Pre-K–8) to gain hands-on classroom experience within a Lawrence, MA charter school network. Fellows plan and deliver daily lessons, support small groups based on assessed needs, and share classroom responsibilities with lead teachers and administrators.

Qualifications

• Requires college degree (associate or bachelor’s).
• Preference for candidates with experience working with children.
• Valid work authorization to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily classroom lessons and provide small group instruction based on assessed needs.
• Share classroom management responsibilities and participate in parent conferences.
• Gain classroom experience under the guidance of experienced lead teachers and administrators.
• Collaborate in a highly team-based environment and contribute to student achievement.
• Participate in professional development and opportunities to lead after-school activities.
• Be considered for permanent teaching placement within The Community Group’s Charter School network.
