Job summary

KIPP MA Teaching Fellows are co-teachers who engage in professional development, coaching, and practice to become proficient teachers. Fellows join kindergarten through fourth-grade classrooms in Lynn, MA, with the aim of advancing to Lead Teacher after a year of development.

They collaborate with a grade-level team, participate in coaching, and may pursue a BU Graduate School of Education program toward a Master’s degree and MA Teacher’s License. A starting Aug 1, 2027 date anchors this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Pass Criminal Background Check.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all children feel affirmed, valued, and challenged daily.
• Foster a positive and safe learning environment.
• Create and internalize rigorous unit and daily lesson plans leveraging provided curricula/resources.
• Set ambitious growth goals for all students and leverage resources to meet them.
• Differentiate instruction for all students in both co-teaching and solo teaching.
• Infuse core values into daily lessons and school practice.
• Analyze student work and data to refine curricula and inform practice.
• Maintain accurate student grades/records and communicate with families.
