Job summary

The Manor Academy is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team. You will work in partnership with teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum, and help students with varying needs reach targets.

The role requires excellent communication, empathy, and patience, with a focus on safeguarding and supportive student development within a busy school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with pupils with specific learning difficulties or behavioural needs would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to listen and relate to children, colleagues and parents/carers.
• Patience and a supportive approach to helping students meet targets and progress.

Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum.
• Support students with varying degrees of learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory or physical difficulties.
• Assist with classroom activities and provide general support to teaching staff.
• Contribute to safeguarding and welfare procedures as required.
