Job summary

Correlation One is seeking Teaching Assistants to support roughly 50 learners in its virtual training programs. You will provide both synchronous and asynchronous help to ensure learner understanding and retention as two Data Center Technician cohorts launch in January 2027.

Responsibilities include onboarding, monitoring channels, facilitating breakout rooms, reviewing content, grading, and weekly write-ups, with a remote-first, ET-friendly schedule and regular staff meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience working in physical data centers or similar environments.
• Experience in mentoring or supervising if not prior teaching experience.
• A desire to support students in upskilling their careers into data roles.
• Empathy, flexibility, patience; passion for working with diverse learners who are new to content.
• Fluent in English; professional verbal and writing skills.
• A+ or Network+ certification an asset nice to have
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and support adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
• A strong interest in helping learners transition into data center operations and infrastructure careers

Responsibilities

• Monitor Pumble channels for Learner questions and answer promptly.
• Check-in with Learners after live sessions to assess understanding.
• Facilitate breakout rooms during lectures when applicable.
• Assist in keeping sessions on track if the Lead Instructor has technical issues.
• Monitor channels during non-live days and respond within 24 hours.
• Foster discussion by posting questions and sharing relevant links.
• Share important information in the #c1-TA channel for staff visibility.
• Review content materials to prepare for upcoming lectures.
• Hold up to six TA office hours per week via Zoom or Google Meet.
• Grade submissions within seven days of submission.
• Provide weekly TA write-ups and insights to Correlation One team.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and maintain camera-on during scheduled sessions.
• Attend all scheduled meetings with professional presence and engagement.

Your impact

Teaching Assistants (TAs) play a critical role in supporting ~50 Learners (as part of a larger class) in Correlation One’s virtual training programs. During that time, TAs will be expected to provide both synchronous and asynchronous support to Learners, ensuring their learning, comprehension, and retention of program content. We are preparing to launch two Data Center Technicians cohorts in January 2027:

Program Specific Information:

• Data Center Technician 11: Program dates: Jan 11th – April 30th, 2027; Lecture days/time: Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:00 pm – 2:30 PM ET
• Data Center Technician 12: Program dates: January 19th – April 27th, 2027; Lecture days/time: Tuesdays and Thursdays – 9:00 am – 11:30 am ET / 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm UK time (GMT/BST)

A day in the life

Expectations during live (synchronous) sessions:

• Attend and proactively engage in the mandatory Pre-Program TA Onboarding. Dates and times will be announced.
• Monitor appropriate Pumble channels (#c1-TA, #live-chat, #extra-help, and other relevant channels) for Learner questions and answer them promptly.
• Check-in with Learners after each live session by asking how they’re feeling about the content, if they have any questions, or if there is anything that they need further clarity.
• Facilitate breakout rooms during lecture time, when applicable.
• Assist in keeping the session progressing should the Lead Instructor experience technical difficulty or is otherwise unable to deliver the lecture.

Expectations during days of no live sessions:

• Monitor appropriate Pumble channels for Learner questions and answer them within 24 hours.
• Foster discussion by posing questions of your own and sharing relevant links in the #resources channel or in other appropriate Pumble channels.
• Use the #c1-TA channel to share any important information during a lecture that needs the attention of Correlation One staff or fellow Expert Network staff.
• Review content materials (including lab, projects, extended cases, etc..) for the next lecture to ensure you are prepared to answer Learner questions.
• Hold up to six (6) Individual Office Hours per week via Zoom or Google Meet with Learners in the program so they can ask any additional questions or get support as necessary.
• Grade Learner submissions of assignments within seven (7) days of submission.
• Support continuous program improvement by providing thoughtful feedback to Correlation One team via TA Weekly Write Ups.
• Submit weekly write-ups summarizing the week’s accomplishments and challenges and provide insights on each learner. This is due by Sunday each week.
• Attend and participate in the weekly staff meeting with Correlation One team and other Expert Network staff.
• Attend all scheduled meetings with your camera on, ensuring active engagement and professional presence.

Where you are

• This is a remote position with the preference that the ideal candidate is willing to provide support in the Eastern Time zone.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is specific to location and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. These factors include (but are not limited to) location, skill sets, and program budget. You will be paid a base rate for weekly administrative time + an hourly for assigned lectures and up to 6 office hours per week.

Your compensation includes the following responsibilities, paid at the hourly rate and paid out in weekly automated invoices that are approved monthly:

• Weekly Administrative Hours: A consistent 4 hours per week for the 15-week program period. This time covers the weekly meeting with C1 staff, responding to messages on Pumble and email, grading assignments, and other asynchronous support.
• Office Hours : Up to 6 payable hours per week.
• Lecture Coverage : Attendance for each 2.5-hour assigned lecture (24 total, 2 TAs per lecture). TAs are required to attend only their assigned sessions on a rotating schedule.
