The William States Lee College of Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites exceptionally qualified candidates for a 9-month non-tenure track faculty position at Teaching Assistant / Associate Professor/Professor of Practice/Lecturer ranks in Civil Engineering Technology and Construction Management fields, with an anticipated start date of January 2025. Candidates with diverse industry and practical experience in Civil Engineering Technology and Construction Management are strongly encouraged to apply.
Primary consideration will be given to candidates with an earned doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline for the rank of Teaching Assistant/Associate Professor or a Master’s degree in the teaching discipline for the rank of Professor of Practice or Lecturer. A minimum of 5 years of practical industry experience relevant to the target course topics is desired. Teaching experience, preferably with a demonstrated record of effective teaching in higher education, and 10+ years of industry experience in multiple sectors of construction (Residential, Commercial, Heavy Civil, and Industrial) with expertise in the target course topics are preferred.
