What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Teach courses in communicative sciences and disorders at the undergraduate and/or graduate level
- Conduct outreach activities to support clinical training and placement for Master's degree students
- Provide academic advising to graduate students
- Participate in service activities for the department and college
- Undertake additional responsibilities to support the educational mission of the department as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ph.D. in communicative sciences and disorders or a terminal degree in a related discipline (e.g., education, linguistics, neuroscience, psychology)
- Minimum of five years of current clinical experience as a speech-language pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a speech-language pathologist in Michigan
- Evidence of a broad professional network at the local and state level for clinical outreach

- Proficiency in common office and communication software (e.g., Microsoft Office applications) and web-based applications
- Prior experience teaching communicative sciences and disorders content
- Strong working knowledge of professional certification requirements for speech-language pathologists
