Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. in Hamlet, NC is hiring a Teacher’s Aide for Head Start / Early Head Start. You will assist teachers, supervise children, support their development, and help with records and family engagement.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:45am-2:45pm or 7:30am-3:30pm (40 hours/week) at a starting rate of $14 per hour. Join a collaborative education team dedicated to early childhood learning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EDU 119 or CDA Credential preferred.
• Experience working with young children preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Start or grow your early childhood career while helping children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. UCCA is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms.

You will support daily activities, child supervision, classroom organization, and family engagement as part of a collaborative education team.

Starting Rate: $14 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday 6:45am-2:45pm or 7:30am-3:30pm (40 hours/week)

Physical Demands

Must be able to actively assist with classroom activities, supervise children in indoor and outdoor environments, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
