Job description

Position: Special Education Teacher (Life Skills Support)

Salary: $56,493 - $74,343

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in special education or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Valid and current PA special education certificate.
• Clear criminal history and child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 151, and FBI).
• Ability to perform essential job duties satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with staff, administration, and parents to develop and implement IEPs and meet other administrative requirements.
• Participate actively in the total school program and curriculum review.
• Maintain dependability, punctuality, and professionalism; uphold school policies and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and maintain open lines of communication.
• Utilize diverse instructional strategies and technological tools to enhance student learning.
• Assess and evaluate student abilities and progress, providing timely feedback.
• Demonstrate understanding and concern for each student's educational needs.
