Purpose

To teach, collaborate, and provide services to students with IEPs, managing caseloads and ensuring compliance with legal mandates for special education.

Essential Duties / Major Accountabilities

Be accountable, develop honest relationships, and foster an innovative environment for student success. Under ESS administration, participate in ongoing training, manage paperwork, collaborate with stakeholders, support students, and ensure compliance with confidentiality and legal standards. Facilitate instruction, differentiate instruction, proctor testing, and utilize technology effectively. Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
  • Residency in Colorado and possession of a Colorado Driver's License.
Education
  • Colorado Special Education Generalist’s license or equivalent required.
  • Temporary Educator Eligibility (TEE) considered if enrolled or scheduled to take the generalist test.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required; Master’s preferred.
Experience
  • Two years in special education preferred.
  • Experience teaching online or at-risk youth preferred.
