Job summary

Celebree School in Severna Park, MD, is seeking a full-time childcare professional. We protect, educate, and nurture the children in our care, with ongoing growth opportunities for teammates.

Join a family-oriented team and contribute to a welcoming, engaging classroom where safety and learning come first. You will implement age-appropriate lessons, maintain clean learning spaces, communicate with families, and support the Lead teacher and Director.

Qualifications

• Experience in child care industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing classroom ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
• Provides a welcoming, friendly classroom environment for children, parents, and visitors.
• Maintains attractive classroom displays and a Parent Board updated regularly.
• Creates and implements age-appropriate, timely lesson plans aligned with Celebree’s curriculum.
• Manages effective classroom transitions.
• Supervises children during activities; uses positive discipline techniques.
• Ensures classroom cleanliness and safety.
• Completes classroom paperwork.
• Communicates with parents with timely updates on child development.
• Identifies opportunities or problems and works with Lead teacher to resolve.

Essential Functions:

• · Assists in managing classroom ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies and procedures.


• · Provides a welcoming & friendly classroom environment for children, parents & visitors.


• · Assists in maintaining attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board that is updated regularly.


• · Assists in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans that are age appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebree’s curriculum;


• · Assists in managing effective classroom transitions.


• · Assists and supervises children during all activities; counsel children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.


• · Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom is appropriately maintained.


• · Assists in completing all classroom paperwork


• · Communicates effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom happenings.


• · Identifies opportunities and/or problems in the classroom/School and works with the Lead teacher and Director to resolve.

Requirements

Education/Experience: Experience in child care industry preferred.
