Qualifications

As a Pre-K Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality early education to children while supporting their overall development and readiness for school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creating and implementing weekly lesson plans that are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with the program's designated curriculum and goals
  • Supporting and mentoring Teacher Assistants, interns, and volunteers
  • Conducting developmental screenings, ongoing assessments, and parent‑teacher conferences to track and support each child's progress
  • Collaborating with families, community partners, and program staff to meet educational and family engagement objectives
  • Promoting a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • State Preschool through Third Grade or Nursery through Eighth Grade Standard Teaching Certification or Certificate of Eligibility/Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing
  • 1 year of experience in a Pre‑K setting or equivalent experience working with children and working with a team
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • A collaborative mindset with a commitment to the mission of supporting children, families and communities
