Job summary

Child Crisis Arizona is hiring an Early Head Start Teacher I to join our Early Education Services Department. You will support a Teacher II in a hands-on, joyful classroom for eight children aged 0-5, promoting safety, learning through play, and routine CACFP documentation.

Required are a CDA or equivalent, a high school diploma or GED, and fingerprint clearance or ability to obtain. Bilingual Spanish abilities and commitment to diversity are highly valued.

  • 6+ months classroom experience with children aged 0-5.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Level one fingerprint clearance card or ability to obtain one prior to starting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Teacher II to create a safe, engaging classroom for eight children.
  • Support learning through play and guided activities aligned with children's interests.
  • Maintain clean, organized classroom and document CACFP meal program participation.
  • Encourage independence, responsibility, and problem-solving through questions.

Our mission is to provide children and youth in Arizona a safe environment, free from abuse and neglect by creating strong and successful families.Our Early Head Start programs are ready to hire Teacher I’s to join the team in our Early Education Services Department.We are looking for compassionate, energetic, and dependable individuals who are committed to building a classroom of learning for children receiving services.In this role, you will spend most of your time providing support to Teacher II in a fun, positive classroom setting providing a safe and secure environment to eight children. Play will guide your day as you create an energetic classroom filled with activities that meet the needs of children’s interests and differing skills. You will encourage responsibility, independence, and problem-solving through open-ended questions while maintaining a clean and organized classroom through the guidance of your Teacher II.
