Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking passionate childcare teachers to nurture minds and connect with the community. This full-time, hourly role offers engaging activities and a supportive team, with a focus on creating joyful, educational moments for children.

Qualifications

• Proof of degree in education or human services from an accredited college or university.
• 2+ years childcare experience (2500 hours)

• Being a role model by making a positive, lasting difference in the lives of children and their families
• Cultivating a sensitive, patient early learning environment for both children and families
• Planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered
• Supervising each child in your care by SEEING, HEARING, DIRECTING and ASSISTING to ensure a safe environment
• Upholding YMCA, state, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for quality childcare
• Maintaining a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children

What is needed for this job:

• Proof of an achieved degree from an accredited college or university in education or human services related field as defined by the appropriate state licensing agency.
• 2 plus years (2500 Hours) childcare experience
