Job summary

Apple Montessori Schools in Princeton, NJ seeks a Teacher Assistant to support Lead Teachers in a nurturing Montessori setting. You will help children explore, grow, and build independence while providing warmth, encouragement, and guidance as they try new experiences and form friendships.

The role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and active engagement with students, and offers opportunities for professional development and participation in mentorship programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• A genuine love of children.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans
• Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication
• Encourage positive self-image while supporting individuality, independence, and creativity

Teacher Assistant Toddler

Location: Princeton, NJ

Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:30pm to 6:30pm

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:
