Job summary

Apple Montessori Schools in Wayne, NJ is seeking a Teacher Assistant Preschool to support Lead Teachers in a nurturing Montessori environment after-school hours 3:00pm to 6:30pm, Monday through Friday.

You will help create a safe, engaging classroom, assist with lesson plans, maintain student records, and communicate with families while encouraging independence and confidence in young learners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• A genuine love of children.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children.
• An understanding of health and safety guidelines.
• Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Teacher Assistant Preschool

Location: Wayne, NJ

Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm - 6:30pm

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you'll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.
