Job summary

Apple Montessori Schools in Paramus, NJ seeks a Teacher Assistant for Infant and Preschool to support Lead Teachers in a nurturing Montessori setting. You will help children explore, grow, and build independence while maintaining a warm, encouraging classroom.

Hours are Monday through Friday, with two shift options: 8:00 am–1:00 pm or 10:00 am–6:30 pm, offering a meaningful early childhood role with growth opportunities and a community that values integrity and caring.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• A genuine love of children.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children.
• An understanding of health and safety guidelines.
• Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Teacher Assistant Infant and Preschool

Location: Paramus, NJ

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm OR 10:00 am to 6:30 pm

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans
