Westminster Schools of Augusta is a Pre-K through 12 regionally-accredited, coeducational, college-preparatory, Christian day school enrolling over 500 students. Position: Lower School Teacher Assistant

Westminster Schools of Augusta seeks an experienced, talented and energetic Lower School Teacher Assistant. Candidate should have experience working with young children in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the classroom
• Assist the classroom teacher
• Connect and communicate with lower school students
• Supervise students during class time, recess, and lunch

Physical Requirements, Work Environment and Abilities Needed

• Engage and interact comfortably with students on the floor, at the tables, and on the playground.
• Direct children in a pleasant and clear manner so they understand and readily comply.
• Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
• Work in a climate-controlled environment, but supervise students outside during the school year.
