Position Details

We are seeking a full-time Teacher Assistant for our Lower School for the 2025-2026 academic year. The role involves active participation in the daily activities of our English Pre-K classes. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, self-motivated, and passionate about working with young children, committed to creating a nurturing and safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and equipment setup.
• Support the lead teacher in managing the class schedule.
• Conduct individual or small group sessions reviewing lesson material.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Supervise students during non-classroom times, including lunch, recess, and field trips.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify student issues and suggest solutions.
• Assist in creating lesson plans.
• Adhere to all relevant rules and regulations.
• Attend training sessions, parent conferences, and faculty meetings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience as a teaching assistant or similar role.
• Understanding of classroom activities and teaching best practices.
• Compassionate, positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Current U.S. work visa, if applicable (preferred).

Benefits

The hourly rate ranges from $24.00 to $28.00 ($49,000 to $58,000 annually), depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include a minimum of 25 days paid vacation, health and dental insurance, 401(k), commuter benefits, and more.
