Job summary

Primrose School of Manhattan is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join the team at East 82nd Street. You will help create a fun, safe learning environment and support infants through preschool with small group instruction.

The role follows the Balanced Learning curriculum, emphasizing exploration, social-emotional growth, and cognitive development. All applications will be considered with virtual interviews for those experienced in early childhood education or daycare settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Employee must be at least 18 years of age.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous teaching experience required
• CPR / First Aid certified required
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children in childcare setting
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
• Employee must be at least 18 years of age.

Hourly compensation $21-$25/hour, depending on experience and credentials

School Location: 350 East 82nd Street, Manhattan
