Job summary

Primrose School of Manhattan is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher for 2-5 year olds at East 82nd Street. You will create a fun, safe environment with a daily schedule that develops children's confidence and independence, guiding them through small group instruction and content comprehension.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education (MS preferred), 2 years of classroom teaching, CPR/First Aid certification, and a NYS B-2 certificate or plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• MS in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Valid NYS B-2 Teaching Certificate or study plan eligible.
• 2 years of classroom teaching experience required.
• CPR / First Aid certified required.

As a Lead Preschool Teacher working with 2-5 year old's at Primrose of Manhattan at East 82nd Street, you'll create a fun, safe environment with a daily schedule designed to develop children's confidence and independence. You'll help guide these little ones through small group instruction as they grow their ability to absorb new content and understand increasingly complex information.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required, MS in Early Childhood Education preferred

Valid NYS B-2 Teaching Certificate or study plan eligible

2 years of classroom teaching experience required

CPR / First Aid certified required

Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children in childcare, daycare, or preschool setting

Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
