Job summary

La Petite Academy in Kansas is seeking a Teacher Aide to support Teachers and Assistant Teachers in delivering daily care and early learning activities. You will help set up meals, maintain a clean classroom, and engage with children and families to foster a safe learning environment.

The role emphasizes following licensing guidelines, providing reliable support, and participating in ongoing training and development opportunities within a caring community.

Qualifications

• Meets state licensing requirements for working in a school.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Experience working with children in some capacity preferred.
• Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Follow licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Set up for, and clean up after breakfast, lunch and snack; sanitize the classroom as needed.
• Observe, assess, and plan for children; effectively communicate with families.
• Support Teachers and Assistant Teachers to implement learning activities.

Teacher Aides:

• Care! Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child. Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
• Help! Supports Teachers/Assistant Teachers by setting up for, and cleaning up after breakfast, lunch, and snack. Clean and sanitize the classroom as needed.
• Engage! Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families.
• Learn! Complete extensive training on childcare, preschool and child development topics.
