- Location: CYC Rebecca Crown Center at 7601 S. Phillips Ave (Chicago, IL)
- Schedule: 8:30a - 5:00p; Monday - Friday; schedule varies depending on program needs
Responsibilities
- Provide a positive climate, responsive caregiving, and continuity to help children develop secure relationships, focusing on social and emotional well-being.
- Work with toddlers and two-year-olds, applying best practices for care and safety.
- Facilitate development of self-esteem, trust, and autonomy.
- Complete developmental and social-emotional screenings.
- Develop weekly lesson plans with individualization.
- Refer children with special needs to appropriate staff and utilize child IFSP.
- Partner with families, encouraging parent involvement through meetings, activities, and home visits.
- Maintain supervision and routines in compliance with regulations.
- Engage children at their physical level during activities.
- Participate in professional development annually.
- Support recruitment, enrollment, attendance, and retention efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with 2 Infant Toddler Courses.
- Infant/Toddler CDA or 120 credit hours in Infant Toddler (if no degree).
- Minimum Level 2 ECE/IT Gateways Credential, with a goal to obtain Level 5 by 2024.
Preferred Experience
- 1+ year in EHS classroom in a NAEYC or Head Start setting.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Experience with Creative Curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Child observation, assessment, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
