Position Summary

The Assistant Teacher (0-3) assists the lead teacher in developing a classroom where children can grow and develop safely and positively. Candidates should have a passion for creating a nurturing environment for quality education.

Education & Certification Requirements

Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or 60 college credits with at least 15 in early childhood or child development. One year of experience preferred.

Experience & Training Requirements

Proficiency in reading and writing in English, capable of operating a word-processing system.

Required Tasks

• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Assist with paperwork, interact respectfully with children, maintain an organized environment, and participate in trainings.

• Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Regular speaking and reading in English, standing, walking, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.
