Position Details:

1. Position Information: Banner Position Number R40003, Position Title Teacher, Classification Title MURC-Preschool/Kinder Teachers, Department Dean - College of Education - RC2300.
2. Job Description: The teacher will ensure the implementation of the Academy’s mission statement, policies, procedures, State Child Care Center Licensing Regulations, and NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards & Accreditation Criteria. Responsibilities include ensuring the health, safety, and development of children, functioning as a primary caregiver and leader for support staff, assessing situations for appropriate educational and social-emotional responses, managing classroom and playground activities, and maintaining good communication with parents and staff.
3. Location: MU - Marshall University
4. Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related fields as described in Career Pathways.
• Organizational skills and knowledge of Academy policies and procedures; experience mentoring staff in home visiting and flexibility programs preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related fields as described in Career Pathways.
