Job Description

Required Certificates and Licenses: Arizona Middle School English Teaching Certification Required AND Arizona Fingerprint Card.

Residency Requirements: Must reside in Arizona. We strongly prefer candidates residing in Arizona but may consider candidates from surrounding states.

The Teacher is a highly qualified, state-certified educator responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. Teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students’ individual needs. Teachers monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system. They work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to support student learning and achievement. Teachers typically work from home but must travel occasionally for school functions, such as state testing.

Position Details

This is a full-time, remote position, typically requiring 40+ hours per week. Candidates must maintain a professional home office environment and be available during standard school hours (e.g., 8-5).

Essential Functions

• Deliver engaging synchronous and asynchronous lessons.
• Personalize learning for each student.
• Build positive relationships with students and families.
• Differentiate instruction based on student mastery.
• Maintain accurate grade books and communicate student progress.
• Prepare students for standardized tests.
• Support families with instructional and technical issues.
• Travel occasionally for professional development and testing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Active state teaching license
• Ability to pass background check

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with the target age group and online teaching platforms.
• Technological proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to collaborate and use student data to inform instruction.

Compensation & Benefits
