Job Description

Required Certificates and Licenses: Arizona Elementary Teaching Certification Required AND Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Residency Requirements: Must reside in Arizona

• This position is remote and strongly prefers candidates that reside in Arizona. May consider candidates that reside in surrounding states.

Start Date: SY25/26

The Teacher is a highly qualified, state-certified educator responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. Teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students’ individual needs. They monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system and work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to support student learning. Teachers typically work from home but may need to travel occasionally for school functions such as state testing.

We are seeking passionate educators to join our team at (Insert School Name). This is a full-time position requiring the ability to work independently for typically 40+ hours per week, maintaining a professional home office environment during standard work hours (e.g., 8-5 or 9-5).

Essential Functions

• Provides engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
• Personalizes learning for all students.
• Believes in all students’ ability to succeed and meets high expectations.
• Differentiates instruction based on student mastery levels.
• Uses appropriate tools to augment course content under guidance.
• Maintains grade books, makes student placement and promotion decisions, and reports concerns.
• Prepares students for standardized tests.
• Establishes positive rapport with families and communicates regularly with students and parents/learning coaches.
• Supports families with curricular and technical issues.
• Travels approximately once per month for professional development and testing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Active state teaching license
• Ability to pass background check

• Familiarity with online learning platforms
• Ability to analyze student data for instruction
