You will balance capability, risk, and cost while guiding senior engineers and program teams.

The role requires extensive defense sector experience, a U.S. Secret clearance, and the ability to translate market needs into differentiated technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of related experience; graduate degree with 13+ years; in lieu of a degree, 19+ years of experience.
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Technical leadership for defense, communications, RF/digital, or mission-system products across development, production and sustainment.
• Experience defining technical strategy, roadmaps, architectures, investments, and engineering execution plans.
• Breadth in tactical data links, Link 16, secure communications, waveforms, RF/digital subsystems, networking, signal processing, or related systems.
• Ability to translate customer and market needs into technical solutions, capture strategies, and high-quality proposals.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for TDL strategy, roadmaps, architectures, investments, and market-shaping activities.
• Guide Link 16 and secure tactical communications technology decisions across digital communications, RF/waveforms, networking, processing, and systems integration.
• Coordinate senior technical leaders; establish engineering governance, reviews, mentoring, and cross-program collaboration.
• Drive technical accountability from development through production and sustainment, balancing capability, risk, affordability, quality, schedule, and cost.
• Align technical priorities and resource plans with Division, Sector, product, program, and functional leadership.
• Lead technical capture and proposal activities, including solutions, discriminators, risk, affordability, and customer engagement.
• Resolve complex technical issues and communicate strategic technical decisions with executives and customers.
